Google just did a lot less of a hassle to search YouTube videos – try now

In the YouTube app, no more boring scrolling

It’s been a very long time coming, but the YouTube mobile app now lets you sort videos in playlists and channels, eliminating the need to trawl through a list of clips you’ve already seen.

Those seem to be a minor change in many respects, but it’s something that excited YouTubers have been singing for quite a while. The fact that they have been available on the website for some time has made the absence of these particular sorting options in the mobile app stranger.

Your videos–sorted Previously, in the order they were added, channel and playlist videos were automatically displayed, with no sorting options available to allow easier, more logical browsing. Now, thanks to Google’s apparent listening to feedback, it’s possible to sort these videos either by popularity or from the newest to the oldest, the oldest to the newest.

By its most popular content, the opportunity to philtre a stream is a great way to come upon new videos, so it’s really no surprise that these choices have made their way to the mobile app.

To access the new filtering system, simply go to a channel’s Videos or Playlists page and click the new menu’ Filter by’. Instead, all you need to do is choose to see the most famous, the latest, or the newest videos you need. Fabricated.
